Hi, my name is Liz and I would describe myself as a genuinely open, honest and fiercely loyal person simply looking for the same.

I would love to spend some time with someone special and I think it's about time I had a little romance in my life again. Going out is great, but so is curling up together in front of the open fire with a good book in companionable silence. I'm afraid I'm not into parties and clubs etc., so if you are, I'm definitely not the one for you. I love the cinema, so if you suggested that as a date, then I'd be swept off my feet in a trice!

As for hobbies, well, I try and keep on top of the garden (though at the moment, it's garden 1, Liz 0); I adore cooking; I dye and spin my own yarn (the trouble with that is that I've not worked out what to do with it all, yet) and I like to get out for a walk when I can. I'd love to have someone to come with me (can't read a map to save my life!) and living in the Peak District, I'm certainly well placed for some fab walks.

When I'm not spinning, walking or working (not all at the same time, of course), I love to study. I recently signed up for my next 30 points with the Open University - Biological Psychology: Exploring the Brain, and can't wait to get started in February.

Other than that, the only other really important things you need to know about me are that I prefer Digestives to Rich Tea; I only drink green tea; I prefer the square end of the bread and the bottom of the muffin; I'm a complete cabbage when it comes to DIY; I make a mean lemon curd and frangipan-topped mince pies and I NEVER dunk my biscuit.
